They are a class C, if the risk of not using them is greater than the chance of birth defects etc, then it is considered ok to use them. I assume you take them as an asthma maintenence? That is something common and pregnant women have taken them and had no problems. Discuss it with your doctor.

I have to disagree somewhat with the above answer. Like alot of medicines there can be side effects. Check out the link I am including that talks about preganancy and steroids. I am also around people with Lupus on a regular basis and many of those patients are on prednisone,....sometimes up to 60 mg a day and they have had healthy babies. Talk to your doctor, everyone is different depending their health history. Good Luck.

would not recommend it, corticosteroids are known causes of birth defects.
