In fact both Indian and Chinese food are healthier enough. They both are very tasty. Indian food have lot of varieties and each region of the country is having some specialty items or other. Chinese also very good.

When the healthier question comes I feel Chinese food are good because even now they use good ingredients and pure cooking medium. But India people have found many shortcut methods to reap profit and do not use good ingredients. If the food is prepared with pure things Indian food are very healthy as well as tasty. -

Indian desserts have a lot of sugar and milk, not the food. It really depends on the cook as the cuisine itself is very healthy and natural. Too much oil is used in commercial Indian restaurants but I use very little at home.

I prefer Japanese food over Chinese because stir fried food has a lot of salt and oil. Made American-style with little oil, both would be much better.

Depending on how it's cooked.

Foods that sell in restaurant tends to have more oil than you can imagine because with more oil in the food, it kept the food hot by preventing heat lost.

I not sure you heard of chinese food called "Dim Sum", it is quite oily to be honest but it should be always goes with chinese tea (green tea). This is to clean up the oil in our body.

Overall Indian food (curry) tend to have more oil and sugar but I once told by my Indian friend that normally there is a dish (soury soup) goes with it, to clean up the oil.

If I am not mistaken, the same principle applied with fish and chip where vinegar acting as an agent to clear up the oil.

Most of the Indian dishes I've tried were quite generous with oil and coconut milk. The desserts were overly sweet, but, oh, so good..!
Chinese cooking normally uses less oil, unless it's for deep-frying. The Chinese also uses many different methods of cooking, like steam, boil, double-boil, stir-fry, deep-fry, roast, grill, stew and braise, some of which use only minimal oil.

I don't think it's any much healthier. An Indian curry does have loads of sugar and it's mostly fried. Whereas chinese food is also fried they don't fry with a lot of oil and the food doesn't have the sugar that Indian food has. So in a way it's healthier, but not that much.

Indian food is healthier, I think ....if for no other reason than the spices and the sweet flavors (rosewater, for example ...very exotic, very poetic)...

but Chinese food is super fab also...I love the freshness of a stir fry ... and the taste of garlic, ginger and toasted sesame oil....
