Doesn't that discriminate against faceless animals like clams and oysters?
I don't eat anything with a face either -- I cut the head off first. Who wants a roasted chicken head on your plate?

Vegetarians say that when people ask them why they don't eat meat. It is commonly said by vegetarians that if slaughterhouses had glass windows, everyone would be a vegetarian. I believe this comes from the idea that if you were going to kill something, to eat or otherwise, you wouldn't want to see whatever you were going to kill (the face) because it would most likely have a look of pain or horror that most people couldn't live with. Plants don't usually have faces and neither do fruits so vegetarians tend to eat things like that. Nuts, fruits, vegetables and other meat-free sustenance are usually in the diet of people who say that. Some vegetarians don't eat dairy products or eggs or both because they come from animals and those people believe that eating or using any animal products is very wrong and that we should coexist in harmony with these animals instead of mistreat them and kill them, eventually eating half of them and desposing of the rest.

Not all vegetarians are whackos, I just think the idea of eating the flesh of another animal is gross. I don't want any animal to have to die just so I can have a burger that lasts about 60 seconds. How fair is it to be brought into this world just to be killed so McD's can make billions of dollars and we can stuff our face on Big Macs. The world is f**cked!
The only way meat is even romotely fit to eat is if it's raised by small family farmers who do not inject them with chemicals/antibiotics, etc. Then there's the cruely factor. If someone can feel good about eating an animal that was abused for its entire life, then slaughtered inhumanely...then I guess they're right...WE are the ones with issues...right? :)
If a lot of meat eaters took the time to get educated, there would be a lot more vegetarians...if not for the humane issues...simply for the grossness factor! (Milk, for example, is full of pus and blood from infected udders...YUM...GOT PUS?) :)
Could you look into the eyes of a cute lil pig and say, "Hey, you're gonna be in my belly tonight"? Most of you probably can...makes me wonder about you. :)

Are you honestly that ignorant?
So I guess it's safe to assume that you eat meat ALL DAY LONG-breakfast,lunch & dinner?

Meat is not the only thing that makes a meal(doesn't make a meal at all for me).
There is much.much more meatless foods than there are meat.
Hundreds of veggies, fruits, beans, legumes, pasta, that can be prepared in hundreds of different ways...

meat has all 22 essential amino acids while tofu fruits and vegis only have ( if I'm not mistaken) 16 0r 14 but through lentils and other stuff they come come pretty close to filling in the spectrum

We were made by God to eat from seed bearing plants. I find it amazing how daily, scientists are discovering how good fruits and vegetables are for us, and how bad meats are.
