for real..maybe for once one of you meat heads can eloquently place some meaning behind something by explaining this ridiculous shirt. Would it be as funny if it were an outline of your sister, father or another family member or friend on there? If not..then why is this?

sigh... for all you all who replied negatively I find it ridiculous you are so easily offended when most of what you all reply with is that I shouldn't be =) That was the point of my question for the most part. Secondly the latter part of my question was ignored completely, but I assumed that would happen.
I never said I was offended deeply or distraught over the t-shirt =p I think its ridiculous and would laugh at someone wearing it - true...but maybe a few of you went a tad overboard..ya'll need to learn how to stay on topic and you won't look as much like the neurotic ones.

Honestly... it is not even interesting.
Just another generic logo for the eaters of the flesh.
:)
Some animal eaters seem to have this need to pretend they understand the concept of their contributions to the industry; they do so with sweeping generalities, use of words that were once meant to be powerful, but now are hollow and without thought or substance... much like the daily decision to eat animals.
I really wouldn't give the shirt a second thought if I saw someone wearing it. The world and the concept of killing and eating are probably as simplistic in the wearer's mind as it is on the shirt.
Oh yeah, and V&P is right on the whole "Eating Tasty Animals" thing. I don't mind that people say it... I only mind that each person who repeats every one-liner he see on a T-shirt thinks he is funny. It is so boring... kind of like the family member who tells the same tacky jokes at every gathering, and you can only sit there rolling your eyes.
EDIT- This is a pic I have on my page that tries to demonstrate the question you are asking.

Hey, atleast they are trying to educating fellow omnivores on where the meat they are eating comes from (thus the cuts) anyways to the second part of the question is the difference in our ways of thinking, where you give these animals human characteristics and put yourself in the animal's place, I do not, I want to get the cleanest well raised meat that I can get (90% grassfed+pastured as I live in Wisconsin). And on a more joking matter I think that a shirt with an outline of a human with 'different cuts' would be pretty funny as long as it had "A Zombies Guide to Eating" printed above it.

Who cares what women find attractive--most men are so desperately dissatisfied sexually it's sickening. I can't tell you how much I enjoy watching endless commercials about erectile dysfunction, the latest KY, and Trojan's new "female massager". Don't believe me--ladies, if most men were satisfied they wouldn't beat it at all after age 15. Most men marry b/c they're afraid of getting old alone, sorry, but your attraction to him doesn't mean much.

MEAT IS MURDER, yummy delicious murder
I don't want to sound like I side with the Veg-heads, but it's not funny on the grounds that it's not funny.
Look at some of the other shirts they have for sale; "Baghdad *** Up"?!? What does that even mean? Pic of Mario flower and "this is why I'm hot." I'm a gamer and I'd smack someone for wearing that. Mount Rushmore going "We Will We Will ROCK you." That's the stupidest thing I've heard this week.
It's also god-awful ugly. People should be ashamed for wearing that.
It wouldn't be funny if my sister was on a shirt that said "the meat is neat" it'd be hilarious!
... oh and "People for the Eating of Tasty Animals" is funny, I wouldn't wear it on a shirt (style reasons) but it's funny.
I've personally adopted a save a cow, eat vegetarian policy, but there just isn't enough meat on a vegetarian.

I'd put it more in the category of a shirt like "Paul/Kucinich 2008". It's just supposed to be (at best) a wry informational shirt. In any event who would wear this shirt? Seriously consider the subject, who is going to the trouble to order this from a website and anxiously wait for the mails to deliver it. WHO???
BTW, what I especially like about my hunting accident shirt is how many hunters want one until they find out where it comes from, I've only had one person take offense to it and they weren't a hunter but assumed I was one!

It may be humorous to some persons by not to everyone. Humor is a complex thing and related to intelligence. The more offbeat humor is the more intelligence it takes to comprehend it. I searched "vegan humor" and came up with quite a list.
For instance-- http://www.cafepress.com/buy/vegan/humor
has pages upon pages of vegan humor on t-shirts. Such as "Beef--it's what's rotting in your colon." Personally I think the t-shirts of either "diet faction" are funny and I'm a person who cares less about what a person eats or doesn't.
So I think your question is rather foolish, unless of course you are pushing and extremist agenda. Which this question would indicate you are. Just plain shallow thinking.

Don't even stress it hun, people are ignorant and making stupid crap like that makes them feel better about themselves. I mean the guy who made that shirt was probably an unemployeed pathetic lonley man sitting on the couch eating McDonald's feeling like crap and had nothing better to do with his time than to make that shirt. I don't know about you but it makes me feel better about myself to know that i'm the better person, and so are you.

Meat is Murder!
I think its horrible.
I'm SO glad I'm vegetarian. (Soon to be vegan..but i can't find vegan foods around here so :'/)
And for the dude up, plants don't feel. They do not have a brain, central nervous system/etc.
How do I know?
because you don't hear a plant scream before it 'dies'.
Much kudos to you!

Most vegans are very vocal about what they believe, as are homosexual people. What is wrong with a true omnivore combating what you are so vocal about with what he believes. I don't think it is funny, I don't think anyone would, he is just trying to get a rise out of you.
That being said I do think it is better to eat fruits, vegetables and grains for a few reasons.
1. Better for the human organism except in times of starvation and cold.
2. If everyone ate more grains and less meat there would be no starvation, (as long as there was needed infrastructure and sanitation.)
3. It takes way more resources to eat meat. They eat tons of grain so that one can eat a small portion of meat.
I hope you aren't one of those that run around chanting "meat is murder," because frankly eating plants is murder as well. And who says plants don't feel pain when they die, are you a plant? Do plants deserve to die? Do they even feel pain the same way?
Sorry I'm not really vegan or regular. I just start typing and don't stop until I get bored. Have a good day.
