it could be sleep apnea or it could also be your lungs filling up with water. This is dangerous and you would better check up with a doctor.

This sounds like sleep apnea. You would need to see a sleep specialist who will test you while you sleep at night to see if you have the apnea. Then you will have to see a pulmonary specialist to be treated if it is discovered that you have sleep apnea. It is usually treated by a machine called a BIPAP machine. What it is is a machine that blows oxygen into your nose while you sleep forcing you to keep breathing. Get it checked quickly as sleep apnea could in some circumstances have sever consequences.

Sounds like sleep apnea. I had the same problem growing up. Very scary at times. It helps to try not to sleep on your back. But definitely get in touch with a sleep disorder specialist and have a sleep study conducted. If they catch it while your young you can avoid a whole mess of health problems growing up.

Definitely could be sleep apnea. Your regular doctor can give you a pulse oximeter (a small thing on your finger overnight) to check your oxygen level. It is probably low, which would mean you need a sleep study.

See a doctor immediately. It could be dangerous. Mine was, but is now under control with a CPAP machine.

It could be asthma. Many people are unaware that they have it, because their attacks only happen at night. You should see an allergist or asthma specialist. Feel better!
