Go to your local Department of Human Services, they should be able to direct you to a organization that will help you. You can also call the company and explain your situation to them. Sometimes they have assistance programs or will allow you to make payment arrangements.

I can't help you pay for it, but I can help you spend less money next month by telling you to unplug all electrical cords when not in use and plug them back in to turn them on.
Electricity is running through the cord even when it is turned off, you can probably shave about 1-3 dollars per month off your electricity bill by doing this.
Good luck.

Downsize! Move to a sleazy little unsanitary studio apartment and you will spend less on energy. If that is not an option, move in with your parents even if your Dad is 93 and your Mom 87. They may need your support.

Call the power company and after requesting an extension, ask if they know of any relief societies that can help with utility assistance. If they don't, call your local health & Welfare Department. They should have a list on hand of agencies who can help.

People lived for hundreds of years without electricity. You'll be fine. Stock up on candles.
