Is there a "pounds to people" ratio when it comes to serving people?

try using the gfs website or going into their store. they have a nifty machine that allows you to pick a menu and it tells you exactly how much of everything you need to serve the amount of guests you have.

No. It depends upon what kinds of food you're talking about.

I have a book called "Food For Fifty" that gives you quantities for 50 people. We can take that and multiply it by 6-8 to feed 300-400 people. Send me a message or post a more defined menu.

the information that i have is for a group of 100, you can adjust accordingly
fruit for 100= 20 qts
cheese for 100=3#
bread for 100=10 loaves

Call a really good caterer, give him/her your wish list. 10USD per person would be a good price unless the guests are real wine and foodies. Then, listen to your events planner, and go higher if your budget allows.

Is this cocktail event with just appy's or are you having a meal...buffet or sit down.....
