Since you're on the Environmental site, why not go to the beach, foggy or not, and pick up trash?. In California there are several organized beach clean ups each year, but you could organize your own. You would be helping a lot birds and sea creatures. You could put up a flyer in your church or club and get others to join you. Talk to someone at your local newspaper, they could help you recruit. You would be a much admired member of your community.

Rearrange your space - it is free and fun. Volunteer for the library, local children's hospital/community center or to give tours at the museum. Look at the community calender at your cities official website and see if there is a schedule for free concerts, plays and such. Grab your digital camera and take a walk in the local park take loads of scenic pictures and experiment with fun editing techniques. Have a great summer!
