I would double this recipe

SAVORY SOUTHERN CHICKEN PIE

8 oz. bulk pork sausage
1/3 c. flour
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 (13 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth
2 c. cooked chicken or turkey, cubed
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas, thawed
4 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. milk
1 recipe Savory Pastry

In saucepan, brown sausage; drain on paper towels. Pour out fat. In same saucepan, melt butter. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Stir in chicken broth and milk. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly; cook 1 minute more. Add chicken, sausage and peas; heat through. Divide among six 1 cup casseroles or oven proof bowls or mini pie tins.

TOP WITH SAVORY PASTRY:

1 c. flour
1 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/3 c. shortening
2 tbsp. water

Combine flour, celery seed, salt and paprika; cut in shortening. Sprinkle with water, 1 tablespoon at a time, mixing with fork until all flour is moistened and dough clings together. Gather dough together; press into ball. Roll 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut into 6 circles the size of each casserole. Cut slits near center of each circle; place one circle on each casserole. Place casseroles on baking sheet. Bake at 425 degrees 24 to 30 minutes. Makes 6 servings.

1 Large Can Pork and Beans
1 Can Lime or Butter Beans

Chicken-broccoli thingie [alfredo sauce from a packet, cooked chicken bits, crisp-cooked broccoli bits]--or a curried rice with raisins & walnut bits. Main point of covered dish is that it's easy to dish out [big spoon], requires no cutting or slicing to serve [buffet or cafeteria style and a line of Church Ladies with their plates] and tastes as good lukewarm as it would hot. Someone always brings sliced roast beast of some sort [or ham or chicken-wings] so think along the lines of a nice side-dish casserole.

You will probably see lots of chicken or tuna casseroles for this covered dish party. Try this recipe, it is sooo simple and yet sooo good!

"Baked Potato Casserole"
5 large baking potatoes, cooked and diced
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
1 lb. shredded cheddar cheese
1 pint sour cream
2 bunches green onions, chopped (sautéed in bacon grease)
salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients. Pour into casserole and bake 30 minutes at 325 . Serves 10-12.

Enjoy!

My favorite type of meal is a Cottage Cheese Loaf [also known as Special K Loaf]. It's main ingredients are cottage cheese, special k flakes, onion soup mix, eggs, nuts, etc. It's a vegetarian dish, and it is really good [and I hate raw cottage cheese]. The ingredients sound strange, but it is really good. Here's a site for a recipe:
