There are several natural ways to clean, I would get a book from the library that give you handy helpful hints, such as 'Haileys,' as some have already suggested, vinegar is great, if you boil it, you can use it for a weed killer. Type in your search bar 'vinegar uses' you may have to try several searches, many should come up.
For commercial products, I use 'soap works' click on her web site http://www.soapworks.com to get a location of where to buy her product locally. Check out her testimony as to how she came to develop her product, mainly because her son became very ill.
Seventh generation is good to.
Sign up for the http://www.queenofclean news letter, not all her suggestions are 'environmentally safe' but she does give many handy tips with natural resources.

simple green is a good solution if you want to buy cleaners.
vinegar and water solution is good for cleaning glass.
Lemons in the garbage disposal to deordorize.
Baking soda to clean carpets and bathrooms. You can also try asking your grandma or someone in her age bracket. We're moved to all the super ingredient cleaners and throw away wipes in the last few years because of convenience.
Those wipes only compound the problem.

We never use soap in our carpet shampooer. We use one part vinegar to three parts water in it instead. There is no residue. We use the same formula in a spray bottle for stains.
