Among the many understood symptoms of cardiac disease like angina or AMI , the pain is typically in the back. Such is the case with pain in jaws.
Please consult your doctor.

Absolutely!!!!! I had pain for years between my shoulder blades. I went to Doctors and had MRI's. I was given pain pills and muscle relaxers. I was sent to physical therapy..... It's been called atypical angina by a Doctor.

I was finally diagnosed with Heart Failure (age 44) and they said I'd had a massive heart attack within the past 5 years. The cardiologist that I obtained when I went into the hospital said I had been miss-diagnosed and that the back pain was from my heart.

I was in hospital 5 weeks first time. Double bypass ( they almost didn't operate- there was a big debate as to whether or not I would survive) .

The pain - It was sharp pains on the left side of my spine between my shoulder blades. It was long term but at times would get worse, like ice pick. The muscles on the left side of spine would get tight from neck to hip and hurt. Spine was deflected / bent from strain. Muscles were atrophied between shoulder blades.

Pain stopped after surgery ( double bypass and Defib + pacer). Cardiologist was right.

Suggest go to hospital and get checked or at the least get a blood test (BNP). Hopefully, cardio team has done this + EKG + echo.

Get checked! I would scream it if I could. Hopefully, you won't end up like me - 22% EF at 48.

Do Not Delay.

PS. I had no chest pain/ arm pain/ jaw pain /no crushing-- Nothing.

I don't know what a slipped vertabrae feels like but I do know what the pain in your back between your shoulder blades feels like during a heart attack. I had it. Right in the middle. Mine felt like a stabbing/burning pain. I remember thinking at the time, maybe if I just lay down this pain will end. I laid down and then everything else started to happen. The pain between my shoulder blades in the back was the beginning though.

I also had pain that radiated down my left arm, my fingers on the left side were numb. Nausea, shortness of breath. I also felt like I was going to pass out and I broke out in a drenching sweat.

I had no chest pain. I had a heavy chest pressure. I remember thinking at the time that it felt like someone had a post hole digger boring through my chest.

*If* you are having this pain in your back I wouldn't be waiting. I had warning signs of what was to come but I had never had the pain you are asking about until it was almost too late.

I think that is more prevalent in women.
