You don't say how long you've had diabetes, or what your blood glucose control has been like, but it could indicate that you have started to develop autonomic neuropathy ... one of the symptoms being postural hypotension (low blood pressure on standing up). Of course, I may be talking out of my rear end. You'll need to mention the symptoms that you're experiencing and ask to be referred to an endocrinologist for further tests to confirm or refute my amateur diagnosis.

Check your blood pressure. Low blood pressure has been associated with dizziness.
Don't check it just once, but over a period of time, in as close to a resting state as possible. If you just plop down in a testing station at a drug store, it will read higher than normal. Checking it in a doctor's office sometimes leads to "white coat hypertension," with misleading results as well.
It's best to buy or borrow the apparatus and check it at home.
Other circulatory problems can be the cause, especially clots or arterial obstructions that could lead to stroke. How often and how long it occurs can indicate whether it is an inner-ear problem.
Whatever you do, don't mess around with dizziness. It could be a sign of serious problems in the future.

Dizziness is one of the most experienced symptoms by individuals but could be caused for many different reasons. It can depend on any other illnesses you may have, medications your on and much more. Its something I would mention to your physician.

Ask your doctor about an exercise routine. Regular exercise, such as walking three times a week, may reduce neuropathy pain, improve your muscle strength and help control blood sugar levels. Gentle routines such as yoga and tai chi might also help.

Low blood pressure? Get an automated blood pressure kit, or check it in a drugstore...if you are dehydrated, try to drink more water and fluids...that might help some...also there are meds for low blood pressure...
