I'm naturally skinny, but i eat a lot. I've been thinking of becoming a vegetarian, but if i decided to, would I get too thin? I don't wanna look like I have an eating disorder or anything, and I think I have a really fast metabolism. What would be some good vegetarian recipes that I could use to give me all the vitamins & whatever I need???

If you eat plenty of fruits, avocado, potatoes, nuts, beans, pasta, rice, bread, oil, I'm sure you won't be too skinny!

I am a vegan and my last problem is being too skinny.

Just make sure you're getting enough protein and calories and eating a varied, well-planned diet in all probability you'll be fine.

And if by chance you're not, go find a veggie-friendly dietitian, a lot of doctors out there find it easier to say, "go eat some chicken you crazy veggie" rather than tell you to get more iron or b vitamins or whatever your problem actually happens to be and help you find veggie sources of those nutrients. People need to understand nutrition whether they are vegetarian or not, but a lot of doctors don't think that way.

I'm a great proponent of moderation and well-balanced diets. I'm also a proponent that with a moderate and well-balanced diet, goes exercise and meditation.

I believe any diet can be healthy if it is balanced and moderate. I don't characterize my diet as vegetarian, but my redmeat needs are far, far, between. Balanced diet, exercise, meditation . . .

I have a very fast metabolism as well and I'm considered petite. But I press well beyond my own weight, do 3-4 mile swims easily, run 13 miles without breaking a sweat, and certainly don't look like I have an ED. So whatever diet you choose, it's more important that it is balanced/moderate, you exercise regularly, and meditate to take care of your "soul". Good luck and good question.

I'm vegan and have to work out to keep in shape. If you become a vegetarian, your only going to be eating less harmful fats - not less of it necessarily.

Being vegetarian doesn't always equal being healthy though, so unless you eat a good balance of fats, proteins and carbs you will become skinny or fat depending on which spectrum you glide into.
