A sudden change in air pressure, constant nose picking, or dry conditions in your home (either due to weather or the use of air conditioning) are three top reasons why some people have nose bleeds. Also, there are hereditary reasons, or blunt force trauma to the face.

One thing I know of that cause this is air pressure change, especially when the air is transforming from a higher pressure to a lower pressure or vice versa.
