Does Mitral Valve Prolapse ALWAYS cause an abnormal heart sound, or a clicking sound when the doctor uses a stethoscope? And, is it ALWAYS present on an echocardiogram? I ask because I have a lot of the symptoms of MVP, but, I have had a couple different echocardiograms all of which appeared normal. AND, I've had a stethoscope to my heart a LOT, and nothing has ever been heard. PLUS, I had a cardiologist suspect a PFO (hole in heart), so he went INSIDE of my heart through my groin area to check and said that my heart looked fine. I guess he would have seen if I had MVP, correct?

I have just been diagnosed with mvp and mitral regurgitation. And yes it would show up in an echo and will always be heard through a stethoscope. Some people who have MVP never even develop symptoms, it's when a dr listens to their heart that they assume they have a heart murmur and send them for an echo; it is then with an echo that they are able to see the heart, valves and bloodflow & then the extent of the murmur is diagnosed. Whether or not it is just a harmless murmur, or something more- like MVP. I have mild MVP, so even though it's not terribly bad...i still have many symptoms and have to go annually for another echo to make sure it hasn't progressed any further.
If you've had all these tests and still nothing....you probably suffer from anxiety. Anxiety causes similar symptoms to MVP.

Hello there

MPV always cause abnormal heartbeat however in your case not all your valves have collapse .Your condition is not easily detected because your mitral valve prolapse its not a major one. However if its major,it will be reflected on your ECG results, and your condition will worsen over time, due to the oxygenated blood mixing with the deoxygenated ones causing u to be fatigue easily .Repair operation can be done to repair just the damage valve.

Water Control Valve are designed to handle and control hot water, cold water, ground water, potable water, salt water and/or wastewater. They are made from metal or plastic. Metal water valves are made of aluminum, brass, bronze, cast iron, ductile iron, copper, steel, or stainless steel. Selecting water valves requires an analysis of performance specifications, actuation methods, and connection types. Performance specifications include valve size, pressure rating, number of ports or ways, media temperature, and valve flow coefficient. Suppliers specify valves according to metric or English (imperial) measurements. Some Water Control Valves are actuated manually, by a hand wheel or crank, or with mechanical devices such floats and cams. Others are actuated by electric, pneumatic, electro-hydraulic, or electro-hydraulic methods. There are many connection types for water valves. Examples include compression fittings, bolt flanges, clamp flanges, union connections, tube fittings, butt welds, and socket welds. Water valves with internal or external threads for inlet or outlet connections are also available.
