Reasons of parental abuse are totally different from 3.rd parties.
Parents generally have frustrations, not knowing how to raise a child and unaware of effects of an abuse etc. Others generally have mental disorders.

A lot of the time it comes from frustration. The one doing the abusing is frustrated and takes it out on the child. And sometimes it comes from having been abused as a child.

I was abused as a child. I can give you my personal thoughts. My situation happened because of learned behavior. My mother was abused as a child, so beatings were normal, low self esteem, serious anger control problems, which lead to alcohol and drug addiction, depression. It's a pattern in alot of cases. Though I may understand abuse in a logical way, it's still very hard for me to understand why/how it happens on a personal/emotion level.

some people are mentally incapable of breaking the cycle they have experienced. it takes a strong person to not do these things to a child when they were done to them. another reason is that they were not ready to be parents so they get frustrated easily and take it out on the child. the important thing to remember is that children do not deserve this treatment and they need to be removed from the hazardous situation they are in. if not, they are more likely to be abusive to their children. one more reason i will mention is dominance. some parents have to be dominant over everything in the house. this is more common in men than women. this is the scariest one because it usually entails sexual, mental, and physical abuse all at the same time.

If you are a child being abused tell another adult you trust like a teacher or Sunday School teacher or call 911 immediately.

Unwanted pregnancy, difficult labour, resentment, selfishness and wanting to take frustrations out on someone who can't fight back. Also alcoholism, drug addiction and an ongoing cycle of generational abuse.
