Your one of the few Muslims i've ever heard talk sense on here, i have Muslim friends and they are just like you in that nothing offends them in the way most people think.
Thank you for speaking up at last, if more muslims did the same as you then the perception would change, it's a shame the small number of extremist muslims (as with every religion on this earth) tend to be much more vocal so that's all we hear.

Guru is not offending Humanity because Islam is not a race, Islam is a religion, an idea, it is not comparable at all to race. Be Realistic, Second Those that's fallow Terrorist Organization are Call Islamists Terrorist. Do you Known that ISIS fallow SHARIA LAW, that's Control a Political System to Control and Discriminate Freedom and a direct control over woman's. This control are also politics, economics, sexuality, and social issues. "Sharia Law" Sharia is the guiding law for Muslims. It is from the Koran and has no place in modern society. It allows for stoning of adulterers cutting off hands and feet of criminals and owning sex slaves. Muslims converts to any other religion should be killed under Sharia. Islam is based on the writings of Muhammad who claimed to hear the voice of Allah. Allah is the pagan moon god of many Arab tribes. Islam is an intolerant cult that seeks world domination. We'll History well be writing on this Century not 7-Century.

Yes, I can understand your frustration. The Irish had to go through this in the 70s and 80s when the IRA was bombing targets in Britain. Irish people working in Britain were constantly being told that "your lot have killed more innocent people," when they had nothing to do with the bombings.
It's a cultural misunderstanding that will hopefully improve as time goes on. The Muslim community needs to keep speaking out to make sure that normal Muslims like you get their voices heard loud and clear so the "10 odd weirdos" don't win out.

Assalamo Aleikom. Hey, we almost have the same situation. It really annoys me when non-muslims give attention to us muslims in a negative way. (times that they seem to treat muslims as idiots who can't longer co-exist and at least understand other people from other beliefs) They got the whole idea of Muslims and Islam totally screwed.
See, I live in a predominantly Christian country(Spain) so I usually get fed up by these kinds of people. I, myself, give gifts to my Christian friends during Christmas as a sign of gratitude for them being good friends not because I believe in Christ as god.
However, isn't it also good for us Muslims? When media news becomes responsible on matters regarding religion and faith...they learn to respect and be sensitive to Islam and other religions. Besides, some people are just trying to be respectful to us Muslims. When that's the case, I really appreciate it. At least, there are still people who value the Golden Rule which unites people of all faiths( do unto others what you want them to do unto you ) :)

There is different types of people in this world.
Some muslims gets could get offended by that, probably beacuse they feel attacked, some doesn't care a sht.
It's great to hear you don't get upset about those things, although I must say I have come across some fanatic ones who really takes EVERYTHING bloody serious

Well, that was a gigantic rant there, but yes, I agree with you.
Because a small minority kicks up a huge fuss the government feels the need to bend over backwards just to accommodate them.
If i went to say... Afghanistan and started saying that everyone celebrating Eid was offencive to me because I were a Christian, I would be kicked out of that country so damned hard you could hear my *** hit Alaska.

Yup, I'm a Muslim and studied in a non-Muslim country with a group of friends few years ago. Nothing offends us really, even if we are facing a completely different way of life. We just adapt and continue our life as Muslims. As long as nobody ridicules our religion, we are okay. We accept debate and criticism and frequently attended interfaith discussions in our university.

i like your attitude, and i know your not the only Muslim that feels this way, but the news finds the few that are stood in a group and whining, broadcasts that and that sends the wrong impression to others, the media plays a part in the divide, but they could not do that if it was not for the effigy burning and stuff(the Salmon thing not the Christmas) the Christmas thing is down to retarded council workers that think they are doing good but really aren't.

I suspect that the majority of Muslims feel exactly the same as you. It's the small minority of fanatics who stir up the bigotry and religious intolerance and hatred and end up killing lots of innocent people.
If only the more moderate, peaceful Muslims could overwhelm the few extremists, the world would be a better place.

A few people in every group find something to complain about, which then stuffs it up for everyone else. Fantastic question/rant i agree with you totally. Now take a deep breath and have a calming drink. :-)
