We humans have been dealing with global warming for the past 10,000 years or since the last ice age. The oceans have risen about 500 feet world wide in the last 10k years. That is about 6 tenths of an inch per year or about 60 inches (5 feet) per century. Also there are short warming cycles when the sun has more solar flares. Right now, both Earth and Mars are experiencing unusually rapid melting of the polar ice caps. This is caused by the space weather driven by our sun.

Its too bad that some politicians want to make a political issue out of it and blame it on somebody.

I think that we will keep on dealing with global warming the same as we have for the past 10,000 years. With more people on the globe there will be more people displaced in the future.

Unless something is done soon to address the issue then the problems we have already seen will continue to get worse.

So far the worst affected areas have been in Africa, Asia, the Pacific, the Arctic and remoter parts of Eurasia. These problems have included desertification, inundation of low lying communities, melting of permafrost, salination of water sources, drought, flooding etc.

In the west we've got off lightly so far and tend not to focus on the millions of people who have already lost thier homes and livlihoods or the 150,000 people who are dying each year as a direct result of the effects of global warming.

When these things start hitting closer to home people may sit up and take more notice but by then it may well be too late. People who have studied the effects of global warming are only too aware of what's happening in the wider world and the implications for the future. There are too many people who are focused on what Al Gore is doing and what's happening in their own back yard to see the full picture.

So yes, global warming will be a problem in the future. Not the dramatic end of the world scenarios depicted in the movies or by some sections of the media but a gradual encroachment of the many diverse effects of climate change.

it is a problem more of the mind than of reality humans do not usually think they know the clmate will actually change it is almost like trying to see into the future better if we just get on our lives be responsible do not be greedy and do no harm to any one do not encourage property investment it creates poverty these are things that do cause problems for us the weather who can do much about that then god bless
