I do not know what to eat or really how to work out...though im thinking of working out going something like this.

Work out at about 8 am too 8:30-8:45 and that workout will include.

1: Stretching just some light stretching.

2: 10 mins of basketball. (shooting & dribbling)

3: Bench pressing 30 pounds for 6 sets 10 reps each.

4: Curling 15 lbs. dumbells for 5 sets of 8.

5: Reverse curl ups. ( same as above)

6: 5 sets of 15 crunches.

7:5 sets of 5 pushups.

8: About 5 2 minute rounds on the heavy bag. (throwing combos, power punching).

I know it probably needs improveing.

DIET I HAVE NO IDEA.

and I take a 30 second break between sets in exercises, and a 1 minute break between switching exercises.

TELL ME WHAT TO DO!!

you dont say what are you trying to achieve - doing this will tone you up.
if you want to lose weight then you have to do cardio.
find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

you might want to try a three hour diet, when you eat something smallish and healthy everythree hours, It keeps you energised and can help mentabalism, also eat a peice of fruit with every meal. most importantly drink 4 glasses of water a day, I know people say 8, but you can build on four - you will seriously notice a difference in your skin, mind and body if you do! good luck!

Good general diet rules to follow are:
-Make the main part of your diet low fat protein and veggies eg. chicken, fish and non starchy vegetables
-Eat fruit but not a huge amount as it contains lots of sugar
-Eat whole grain carbs like whole grain bread and museli
-Drink lots of water!
-Try to avoid sugary soda drinks and even diet ones as the sweeteners tend to mess with you a bit!

Good luck, the exercise is the main thing and it sounds like you're doing great!!
