Through self-study, I'm finally recognizing the truth in the message of Jesus and God. I now realize myself as Christian and feel a renewed vigor for life. I have yet to join a church. What do I do now?

Seek the Holy Spirit. That will lead you to all righteousness.

Build up a good relationship with GOD, the Trinity. Be like Him. Follow the two greatest commandments (Love God and Love your neighbour). Walk the talk. Be positive. Hold onto the Bible. Keep it as a daily practice - communication with GOD. Join Church activities.

Help and serve in the Church. Make friends with brothers and sisters. Have u Baptise? Accepted Jesus in your heart? I'm sure yes cause you said you are a Christian. Learn to be like Jesus. There are more you could do....think about it, decide what do you wish to do. Ask God to guide your Holy Spirit. God bless!

Turn and RUN
and know that GOD is not in a church. God does not bless one nation or religion!! which is what most christians think.
I was a full time minister until I realized that a father in heaven sounded great, sounded safe.... but I was not going to say anymore that all these other people in the world did not have god with them and were going to be destroyed. I dont think so. Turn and RUN.

Ask God to direct you to a small group; a prayer group, or home fellowship group or even a Bible Study group. Some are known as Cell groups, also. There is intimacy in small groups. You can find out about them by word of mouth. For my self, I got a lot of inner-healing in one and became a whole person. Some large churches have groups like that, but you have to ask about when and where they meet. Some groups are not even affiliated with a particular church and they are very good. Just be sure they follow good solid Biblical truth and teaching.

Dear Friend,

The Bible says to do this:

Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

If you do this you will receive the free gift of Salvation and be sealed with Gods holy spirit. Then you should definately look for a non denominatinal church and enjoy fellowship with other believers. Visit www.truthortradition.com for some really great Bible studies.

God Bless

You need to find a church. Not real easy in this day and age. There are a lot of Churches out there. Make sure you pick one that teaches from the bible and follows what is says.
Don't be afraid to visit many churches, take notes and don't get pushed into anyplace. This is going to become a family for you, so take your time and choose someplace that God has guided you to. Make sure you feel God in the place you worship. Good luck and GOD BLESS!!!

If you join a church - you cannot be yourself and still be able to listen to God and Obey Him.

Joining a church only makes you religious and will robbed you of the reality of hearing God's voice on your own. The pastor and leaders will want to become your authoirty and so to speaks "your new god" and that will defeat the purpose of what Jesus says He is coming to do , that is building His Church or His Body which is make up of believers like you and me and not denomination and churches club.

Visit any churches if you want to but please don't belong to any as you are already in ONE - His Body the invisible Church together with all true and real believers.

Wish I can tell you more but just remember If you belong to someone of some organization , you cannot belong to yourself nor to God because others will want to own you.

Jesus says, "Whom the Son have set free, they are free indeed !" And read the book of Galatians for a start to get more clues ok? Brother in Christ, Grace and the Lord of Wisdom and understanding be your guide and your teacher be your portion, Amen!

Well, as old as this idea is...ask yourself...what would Jesus do? Did he join a church or did he reject organized religion?

If you feel drawn to joining a church....ask yourself if the people in that church are in line with what you feel in your heart.

Are they inclusive or exclusive?

Did Jesus exclude or include people?

Does that church make you feel good about going to church or are they trying to expoit your feeling of guilt by calling you a bad Christain for not doing things their way?

Remember, God is perfect but mankind is not. Even church people have faults and challenges that they need to over come... sometimes even the ones wearing the white collars.

Good luck and listen to your heart.

Not to be rude--but how do you know you are Christian? Self-study alone and some beliefs in Jesus -- don't guarantee it...

I wish you'd said more here...

I'm pretty alarmed that most people don't care to check if you even are their own belief (let alone the true one).

If you ask people which church to go--it all depends on their own belief, which may or may not be yours. Catholics, Baptists, Jehovah's Witnesses...they are all here trying to get you to follow their religion...

If you truly want to get to know Christ go to his one true Church, the Catholic Church. The one that gave all the other 14,000 denominations there Bible.

Study the Bible and study history, join RCIA and get baptized.

The Holy Spirit is not the author of confusion. There is only one truth. He has already called out to you, all you need do now is follow him and embrace his church, his bride in all her sacremental glory.

Start going to a church preferably close to where you live or perhaps ask a Christian friend to bring you to his/her church. Be open to the friendly members who approach you. Ask questions. Ask about any classes you may join to learn more. Very soon, you will begin to feel at home and look forward to going to church.
