How long since your dog was last seen by a vet? Some diseases cause an odor. Dish soap? Why? Nails do grow back...you know, like fingernails...

Go to the pet store and get some oatmeal shampoo. She might stink because she has a skin problem.Smell her ears.Do they stink? What about her breath? Does she have bad teeth? Infections in the mouth and ears will make a dog stink. She may need to see a vet.As for her nails,of course they grow back, just like yours. You just have to clip them regularly.Don't use dish soap;it could only further irritate her skin, especially if she has an allergy or infection.

nails grow back, thats what they are supposed to do, clip at regular intervals, as for the dog smelling, maybe its the dish soap causing a skin problem thats making it stink?? There are groomer colognes on the market, bath your dog in a GOOD pet shampoo. Also sometimes a dog smells cuz of a skin infection.

dogs nails grow back just like yours.
If your dogs has that bad an odor take her to the vets and find out why. This isn't normal could be some kind of infection.
They make dog shampoos fro dogs and they are scented dish detergent isn't the best for any animal unless it's needed for like an oil spill or something like that.

Avoid dawn for general baths (this should only be used when you need to remove a toxic oil based product). Try something like an oatmeal shampoo for pets, it will be gentler on her skin. She may stink because of health problems (infected mouth, skin infections, kidney failure, anal gland issues)-so get that checked by a vet. Nails continuoiulsy grow on dogs and need to be trimed every 4-6 weeks.

I don't know how good it is to wash your dog with dish soap, but then again I'm not a vet. Maybe you should take her to the vet. I know that they'll clip her nails, but for like $10-15. Maybe they can prescribe some kind of shampoo or something. I hope things get better. =]

Dawn is probably not that good for helping a dog smell nice!

There are some very nice dog shampoos that will help your dog smell very good. You can find them at the supermarket, the vet and the natural foods/health food shop.

Follow the instructions and your dog will smell very nice.

Remember to wash your dog on a dry, warm day, and let her/him dry off thoroughly before night time, to avoid getting a cold.

You could also brush your dog with a dog brush (also available at the vet or supermarket), to help get her/his skin get good circulation and stay fresh and clean.

About the nails ~ you will have to keep clipping your dog's nails whenever they grow back.

Dogs' nails are just like ours ~ they keep growing as long as we live.

How long does it take to clip your dog's nails? Not that long, I bet, and think how much nicer it is for your dog to have nice nails :-)

first of people put these question up so people can help them with their problems not to be abused and told they shouldn't have a dog or any other pet. anyway i suggest keep washing your dog with some doggie shampoo u can buy at the vet or at a pet shop, there is nothing u can really do, no matter how much u wash them dogs are going to stink, trust me i have a 3 year old labrador who always stinks, lol. and for the nails just go to the vet and get them clipped or take her for walks regualy to keep them worn down. hope i help.

OMG!! How come you use dish soap to bath her? You should use the shampoo for dogs. Nails are normal growing longer, so you just need to keep cutting on her nails.

If you walk her for an hour or two every day you wont have to clip her nails at all or as much , Bathe her more often and get a metal water bowl instead of plastic so it does not hold contamintates . Change her water constantly with fresh water and if possible switch her diet to real meat instead of dog food as its full of very nasty things .
