Biology 101, sweetie! There was absolutely NO REASON to practice birth control, so Noah's boys and their wives had LOTS of babies. Babies grow into adults, who find other adults, and....... you get the idea. If a girl starts having children when she is about 16, and averages at least 10 live births (not unheard of, you know), then the population of the earth will increase very quickly. You do the math!
Women are really the unsung heroines of the Bible!

What I find interesting is that, with so many similar flood stories in other cultures that did not worship the Jewish God (I say Jewish, as there was no "Christian God" at the time), people still believe it happened because the Jewish God wished to eliminate all the people who did not follow his teachings.

Nice book. Good stories. Mostly fiction to hold power over the masses. Although I'm sure that we would never blindly follow the edicts of our "supposed" leaders. LOL!

When the bible states that the "world" was flooded, it could mean that the world as Noah knew it was flooded, as in the part of the world he lived in. If you lived in New York and had never travelled far from there, if the Eastern seabord flooded, that would effectively be your "world".

Some archaeologists charge that Noah's-ark expeditions are nothing but wild-goose chase. Who knows, but it makes for a good story...
