your skin has what is called melanin. it is the pigment in your skin and you may just have more melanin in different areas than other people. it may hold pigmentation longer and it may run deeper so it isn't shed off with your skin. You may also want to consider that you may just be tan. lol

Your body only turns dark to protect itself from UV rays. But there are chemicals that can induce melanin production. I've seen news about people developing drugs that might induce tanning. Or your body is just really sensitive to UV or have some hyper active melanin production. You freak. Or you just spend lot of time outside.

If you were born with that tan, of course, you can be tanned as long as you live. lol. People will say you are lucky too.

Well if you keep on staying in the sun and maintaing color . then i will stay the same color . your lucky i wish i could stay tan for over a year .

If your skin is pigmented without a reason it could be a sign of hepatitis or thyroid problems. Have you been screened for these lately?
