You say that Water is of the devil, which is why Missionaries can't go swimming. Yet you baptize people in it, full dunk. You have dunk tanks in the Temple. You drink it for the Sacrament. What is the deal.

Even tho I am an ex-mormon its easy to explain, and you won't be happy because I can explain it...They say that satan controls the oceans and lakes, he has no control over a bathtub or a babtismal fond. The mormons are only half correct, when I was wiccan, i learned that demons inhabit forrests and mountains (which I used to get spooked out by the mountains in utah) and other such things, NOT JUST WATER, here is a complete list:Fire demons live in the upper air, aerial demons inhabit the atmosphere, terrestrial demons inhabit woods, and forest, Aqueous devils inhabit bodies of water and waterways, subterranean demons inhabit caves and mountains, heliophobic demons appear only at night, Beelzebub (sins of pride), Leviathan (sin against faith), Asmodeus (sins of luxuriousness and wantoness), Balberith (homicides, quarrels, and blasphemy), Astaroth (idleness, sloth), Verrine (impatience), Gressil (impurity, uncleanness), Sonneillon (hatred), Carreau (hard-hearted), Carnivean (obscenity), Ocillet (temptation to break vow of poverty), Rosier (abandoning God for the flesh), Belias (arrogance), Olivier (mercilessness), Luvart (inactive). Demons who possess people and demons who infest houses, these are not ghosts they are demons:

Also an Incubus is a demon that comes into your dreams and has sex with you and a Succubus is a dmeon that holds a person down, it can sometimes be confused with sleep peralisis.

I've never heard that "water is of the devil".

Missionaries are discouraged from swimming for many reasons, none of which are because "water is of the devil". Satan, however, can use anything to bring about the downfall of man, including water. Missionaries are there for a reason and it's not swimming. If they go swimming, it would be easy for Satan to make sure taht one or more of them drown.

Yes they are stupid considering water is the healthiest liquid one could drink(well the clean one anyway not sea water). That is kind of funny though, but they also hate coffee for some reason though. Wonder how they survive without any liquid in their bodies.

I think it is against their religion, for the believers anyway, to be on the internet, so good luck getting an answer! Oh, and church people piss me off because they are all hypocrits. WHy not be Deist or Aetheist so you at least have dignity when you break commandments and swear, or get drunk and kill people with your car. Ugh...

Dude!!! missionaries can't go swimming because it is a rule, a rule to avoid something to happen to them because they're far from home. God forbid it happens, but it could happen that when people swim, they drawn sometimes. Just trying to keep them as safe as possible. Missionaries rocks, don't mess up with them >:(
