I can only say that if the person has resigned from the organisation with the prior notice of 15 days no one dare to say anything or use abuse language for the employee.

If the Boss is doing so, he is doing a big mistake and from this experience the other employees will not have a good repo and respect for the boss.

This is a natural phenomena, in some cases boss tries to convince the employee to stay back because he is best , hardworking and loyal and in frustration the boss can't control and uses such language.

No Boss will want to lose a good employee mind it, but the ways of reacting are different, some may react politely and some as your boss did.

Lack of confidence to manage without you. If he is a real boss he should call you in for an exit interview and find out whether anything was lacking in him and find out areas of his weakness to improve. He should wish you well, recruit another person and train him to assist him. Thus he maintains and lives his roll as an efficient boss.

He's probably mad because your friend leaving disrupted the workplace, and he might not have time to find a replacement. Or it could just be that you Boss is just an @ss.

This is unusual and unprofessional.

Obviously boss was up set but... today very few people are guaranteed job for life and even fewer people stay at one job for ever.
