in the garden of eden there was a canopy that covered the earth and protected us from the harmful rays of the sun. it is believed to be what made the garden so perfect. after man's fall the canopy slowly deteriorated. this canopy helped protect life and without it people eventually began dying younger and younger. as i'm sure you know, many people in the bible lived a long time. As time went on and this canopy disappeared, the lifespan for humans decreased. Since that canopy is gone, we have a smaller amount of natural protection from the sun. Skin cancer, like all bad things, is a result of sin.

Are you sure it's the sun that causes cancer?

Or is it the pollution (or whatever it's called)....in the atmosphere that is between the sun's rays and planet earth now. The results of us polluting the sky above us with our toxic chemicals....must have interfered with something over time?

I don't know....I'm not a scientist.....but I don't think the original sun vs planet earth inhabitants was quite as deadly as it appears to be now.

I realize skin cancer is caused by the sun....in some people.

Cigarettes have killed many people also...including second hand smoke. However, many smokers have lived to over 80 years old.

There is something more to cancer than just...the sun...or the cigarettes.

Touche.

God created the sun to sustain life on earth

God created the atmosphere around the earth to Filter out the rays that are harmful to us.

We humans Broke the Protection layer with our pollution.

So i guess we can onlyblame our selfs .

Yes, and it's our fault that we humans are destroying the ozone layer with all kinds of chemical substances. See? Ultra-violet ray is created by god to punish us for some reason!

God = 2, Doucebag you = 0

If you are speaking about the God of the Hebrew/Christian bible then remember there was a water canopy over the earth before the flood. This water would have aborbed much of the radiation that causes cancer. Thats the science. Is this the question that you actually wanted answered?

The sun doesn't give us cancer. The lack of atmospheric protection (o zone) does. The gamma and uv rays are out there but with global warming and whatnot, the protective layer around the earth has become less and weakend. So we get cancer. God created a lot of things...all could be good or bad depending on our free agency and how we use it.

He didn't create the sun with the ability to give cancer, he created it to bring light and warmth. he also created something called an ozone layer to protect us from its radiation.

The same God created sunblock creams too. Every one doesn't get skin cancer.

And we all need to die from some cause finally.

God wants sunbathers to be next to Jesus in heaven. It looks better in the paintings if everyone's got a good tan.
