Any advice on how to 'get along' with Summer better?

It's perfectly okay :)

I really really dislike winter, for example. Being a pagan doesn't mean having to love all the seasons, but living in tune with Nature and respecting her.

Just like you enjoy certain aspects of every other season (dunno, flowers in spring, fruit in autumn..?) try finding aspects of summer that you do like - maybe fresh cherries, going swimming, camping outside in the night, maybe going up in some mountains where the air is cooler... Try finding little things that are typical for summer and you happen to like.
Then use those things to mark your summer, rejoice in them and be grateful for them. If you keep an altar, maybe put some cherries on it and a postcard from the seaside. You will still be marking the season... even if you keep inside with air condition to the full! ;)

Ancient Pagans living in the extreme northern climates probably hated winters when they faced starvation and disease and death, and those in the south probably hated drought season... I don't think it's wrong for a Pagan to hate certain seasonal weather.

I dislike summer as well. I suppose it depends on your reasons, and I don't believe there is a "bad" Pagan.

Here in Texas, we celebrate Mitsommer by asking Sunna to . . . make an early and graceful exit, lol.

As for making it through the heat . . . I recommend beach days and mojitos. :-)
