The religion started in the Middle East, so I would assume he was brown, like all other Arabs.

Why must he be one or the other? Look at where Israel is... Israel is like a T intersection between the blacks of Africa, the Asiains, and the Europeans. Think of this - Israel is in Asia...... Jesus was an Asain :P

But no, Jews tend to have an olive complexion, but most are more white than black.

How can Jesus be black when he was a Jewish prophet?
What should really be addressed is why so many people conform to God's vainglorious principles of the Old Testament.

Look-

How about you about reading the whole bible( spend 15-30 minutes each day, and you'll be finished within a year) and really, begin from Exodus. I want you to understand the cruel, despotically -overpowering ,blood thirty being Yahweh is. I want you to read about what happened to the freed Israelites once Moses had been commanded by God to tell the Pharoah to liberate them. I want you carefully scrutinize this sonorous line-reiterated after almost every passage in the beginning of Exodus, "but I will harden Pharoah's heart, so that he will NOT let the people go" God ordered the Pharoah to let them go- so then why was he hardening the kings heart so that he will adamantly REFUSE to let them go? I would especially like for you to carefully read the book of Job, to really get a more profound insight upon Yahweh's diabolical nature. Read upon what happens to Job, a noble God- fearing man from OZ who bore 10 children and cared for plenty of animals. Read and meticulously observe how God made a pact with Satan by unsuspectingly slaughtering all his children and animals- only to see if this respectable man would curse him once in return.

To really comprehend the genuinely sadistic, insidious character of God, read Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Judges, and Job. Those books are extremely compelling.

In Jesus there is neither Jew nor Greek, so I feel quit confident that there is neither Black nor White with Him either. I wish it was the same with all of us as well.Amen to Dave 777

Jesus was a Jew. Jews are classified as white.
I don't feel like getting into the whole black Madonna subject. It is interesting. Why don;t you explore it?
The most important point is that he came for all. So it is a moot question.

There is a reason that the Bible says absolutely nothing about the physical appearance of Jesus. He is Lord of all, not just of one race. And too many people would have a problem if He wasn't their race during His stay on earth.

What do I think? I think Jesus was a man of his time and place, and that his skin was dark, his eyes were dark brown, his look was Semitic, and the tongue off his lips was not Elizabethan English (which more than a few fundamentalists believe it was).

He was a born Jew, and died on the cross as a Jew. His Holy home is even spiritualy Holy Jeruselam City. I am sure even in His Godly Holy Spirit He is still a Jew.

I feel he is of the Olive complexion based on where he came from. I guess I picture him looking like a modern day Middle Eastern person.
