Thanks guys for answering. I'm a connoisseur and have been tasting wine for more than 15 years. Just want to know your opinion. Mine best red is Saint Emillion, Mouton Rothschild 90, Haut Brion 89, and surprisingly Grand Puy Lacoste 89.
I just drink lots of white Chardonnay and couldn’t decide on white.

The best wines are the ones I had shared with my friends. These are nice wines at special place with special someone.

Best red wine is Revana Cabernet 2002, which I opened with my ex when we first started dating. At $90 per bottle, it is not cheap but not the priciest wine there is. However, it was the right wine at the right moment, and she loved it as well.

Best white wine is Caymus Conundrum. At $25, it is relatively cheap. However, I have a nice collection of that over past 6 years and occasionally do a vertical tasting - grabbing a bottle from each year and trying all of them at the same time. We did a vertical Conumdrum tasting 2000-2005 last night at my friend's house with a few of close wine loving friends. Consensus: 2000 Conundrum was the best. It was fun and eye opening for a lot of people.

Wine is such an individual taste. You can ask 20 different people this question and they will give you 20 different answers. Some liquor stores may offer regular wine tastings and if you are lucky enough to live in area where there are many wineries, get yourself over to a few and have yourself a few tastings until you find a few wines that you love. The other thing you should know is that good tasting wines do not have to cost a lot of money

Best white wine is Pioneer Block 6, from Saint Clair vineyard, Marlborough, New Zealand. It's A Sauvignon Blanc and is very fruity to taste and on the nose.

Best red is The Cover Drive, by Jim Barry in Australia. It's a Cabernet Sauvignon and has a very smooth taste.

Personally, I like local wines. If you want to try some new wines, I would suggest that you travel to the Finger Lakes Region.

I had a bottle of Jordan's cabernet one time that was pretty good. and I hade a russian river chardonnay one time that was quite tasty. I have had other good ones, but those two had wonderful presentation and memories with them.

<>I love Beringer's Chenin Blanc. It's not pricey but it tastes great.
