I want to be a police officer becos u all police officers do not have the standard of a good police officer so I am joining the force to show u, to teach u and to guide u of how to become a good and well respect police officer by the people who paid taxes.

the answer all depnds upon the person.many will want to be a officer beut for different reasons. i waited until i was 27 to apply cause i just was not sure.i just said what i felt. where one gets into trouble is when they try to say too much.i told them i waited a long time because i was not sure. my dad was also a deputy with the department.i told them i wanted to work with and learn from my dad. dad retired with 40 years of service as a fingerprint expert.all i could say that was not corny was that my family chosen to do this work and i wanted to carry on this tradition. i was a 5th generation retired officer

there is not a certain right answer but there are a lot of wrong ones. but you could say something like ... i am a good hearted person and would feel rewarded by helping others in the community ... or ... i am looking for a job in which i can make a positive difference in peoples' lives. its like a pass / fail question ... if you say something like i want to drive fast and get into fights, you probably wont get hired. its more of a physiological question to they can judge you on based on their experience in dealing with all kinds of people.
