how do you get big 80s hair?

Big hair-Duh!!! but how do you get it that way- any specific styles?

I'm in the show Fame playing Serena Katz and I need big 80s hair

i already have realy curly hair, but no bangs

TONS of hairspray, and back combing, when you're done , turn your head upside down and spray, it will look wierd at first, but it will fall back like it should be. You also need to curl it really curly.

you will need a decent brush if you have bangs, a hair dryer and hairspray. Just spray your hair a bit,hold the hair up with a brush and then blow dry it a bit with a hair dryer in an upward way. you can tease it or "rat" it as it was known back in the 80's. I think back combing is a more common term but "ratting" it is how you get it the 80's way which is brushing your hair up and down to make it kinda ratted and messy. You can also use a curling iron if you want it to have some more texture. Play with it and have fun. 80's hair was always fun and funny looking too! lol.

back comb your roots like alot but dont be doing it everyday because ur hair is likely to snap.
put some velcro rollers in damp hair and either let dry naturally or dry with a hairdryer then do the back combing
