is there a sign of lacking democracy ? instead to educate good people and good citizens, they rather want to gang up and establish a form of power over other persons. is this too dangerous for our democracy?
As part of science, we request to justify, and test many discoveries so that these can be applied in daily using. god is nowhere or under where when these discoveries is invented? why human must go a long time to mordern time now, and no bishop or church authority can shorten this history? This history of human is the proof for Darwin evolution theory, but why the church want to refuse it???

It is hard for me to identify with the whole "don't question" thing. In my experience, there was no such thing as dogma - in a Church of 25 people, no two believed the same thing on any issue. I didn't even realize that our denomination had an official statement of faith until I left it (as an adult).

The reason that there are over 30,000 Christian denominations is that each individual is his/her own Pope, and the only reason any Protestant congregations still exist is because they all just happened to arrive at similar conclusions. I never once heard anyone discourage me from questioning.

People who are drawn to Christianity come to it looking for God. They feel a hunger to know God. Many people who belong to the faith have had times where they question God and His motives or His existance and usually work it out. It's like the in the movie, "Signs" with Mel Gibson, he lost his faith, but it was restored to him through the circumstances of his life. God works in the lives of people and He can tolerate our ups and downs of faith. Most Pastors are quite supportive of those who have questions. However, in a Christian setting, we don't sit around debating "if" there is a God, we believe that there "is" a God. By the way, a questioning believer is accepted in Church. Those who went against Hitler were killed.
