yes it is - if you deprive your body it will start using your muscle for energy and storing everything you eat in fat reserves (gaining fat).
all you lose by depriving yourself (eating less than 1200cal/day) is water weight and muscle not fat and slow down your metabolism.

Because fruites no transfatty acids and no cholestrol you're not likely to gain wait from them other than the weight from eating them and having them sit in your stomach. However some vegitable may cause you to gain wait. Such as Potatoes which contain carbohydrates which is a main fuel soruce for your body but eaten in large amounts can cause weight gain. So can beans. Some fruits and vegitable help increase bone density and other help in muscel growth. So the answer is Fruits, No. Veggies, maybe. Another thing a pound is a pound. A pound of fat weights exactly the same as a pound of Muscle. So just becuase you don't think your loseing weight doesn't mean you aren't.

if you ate too much of anything you could get fat. but the truth is there is like no calories in veggies so you sure wont get fat off of that. fruits can have alot of calories but they are good calories. if you dont sit on ur butt all day and eat, than having a diet consisting of just fruits and veggies can keep you quite thin, or help you lose weight.

I've tried many diets and couldn't make anything work. Since having my first child, I've been carrying around an extra 30 pounds. This diet just made sense and showed me that everything I was doing before was wrong and a waste of my time.
The plan was so refreshing and so simple to follow. I did everything plan said and lost 23 pounds in the first three weeks. I'm now starting the diet again to lose 7 more pounds. This plan has changed my life.
Get started today!

If you consume more calories than you burn, you can get fat off of anything.
Eating fruits and veggies doesn't necessarily give you the green light to overindulge.
Food for thought- you could eat nothing but candy and chocolate and lose weight if you burned more calories than you took in.

well some fruits have high sugars (natural sugars) so that sugar is carbohydrates (energy) but if it isn't used, it can turn into storage (fat deposits).
So yeah, it's possible. Besides, fat is essential to life and you need it. Every major organ in your body is surrounded with fat and without fat you wouldn't be able to live.
