As far as Canadian and American dollars go, of course you can get it exchanged. Right now our dollar is almost on par with the US dollar. As to it being cold, omg lol. Yeah it gets cold very cold but every province has 4 seasons like many other countries. And summer can get quite hot, like in the mid eighties or more. In the winter British Colombia is the warmest province and Alberta is one of the coldest. I do not get how you think Canadians wear a jacket every day? Here I am writing this and I have a fan on cause it is to warm and we go out wearing shorts.

Every country has their own currency!! Yes Canada does we do not use American currency . YOu can easily exchange it just like if you were travelling anywhere else .Currenlty I believe we are .96 to the us dollar.
We have four seasons !!!!! We do not wear winter jackets everyday only in winter .Many cities in the US border Canada so have the same climate conditions !!!! Buffalo ,detroit ,washington and more !!! You sound like you should visit before moving !!
Canadians do have different attitudes than Americans you will find .Not the same social issues as well as the US has

The money in Canada is called snow tokens. When you come to Canada just go to any bank to exchange your American dollars. Ask for snow tokens in denominations of 50, 100 and 1000. They are the ones used most. As far as Alberta or British Colombia being cold you are right. Not only there but also the other 8 provinces all have snow in the summer but its only about 3 feet deep and it gets warm during August. The temperatures are usually between 20 and 30 degrees Farenheit. Its best to bring skis or snow shoes. During the winter months when the snow reaches 12 to 14 feet, you don't need skis or snow shoes because everyone pretty much stays indoors.

The US and Canada are different countries with different currency, different government and different attitudes to many things.

The fact that we both refer to a unit of currency as a dollar is a coincidence.
