Woman was modeled after God, of course.

The fact is, in the original text of the Bible, it says:

"And God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them." (Gen. 1, 27)

The word "man" refers to "human being" ("adam" in Hebrew), independently of the sex.

The important part is: "male and female created He them."

So woman was also created in the image of G-d.

To be true to the Torah, woman potentially is closer to G-d, as she gives birth and so she is the main partner of the Creator when bringing new human life.

Related to hermaphrodites, anything different than maleness or femaleness is abnormal, and so to be rectified.

Eve was given as Adam's help-mate. She complemented and completed him. I was once taught that God has all the characteristics of both male and female within his character: powerful, leader, protector were put into man. Compassion, nurturing, creativeness were put into the female. As far as our physical image, he created them to complement each other. Hermaphodites occur when their mother has two embryos, one male, one female, that fuse together in the early cellular stage and both genders grow in one body expressing in different parts of the body. It is a sub-expression of chimera-ism. Religion and science are not always mutually exclusive.

Hermaprodites were formed when sperm fertilized the egg as meiosis was taking place. If the two eggs split entirely, then you have identical twins . If they don't fully split, then you have siamese twins. It is a condition called chimerism (if my spelling is correct, named after Chimera the two headed Greek mythical beast). As for women, they were taken from the rib of man.

This image is not really the body; flesh and blood. It is more to do with the soul and the spirit.

Genesis 1: 26-27

Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground."

So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

It's not written that God ever created a woman.

The hermies are genetic freaks that's why you don't see millions of them like you do females.
