The Book of Zecharia 9: 5 says..Gaza will writhe in agony.
The Book of Jeremiah 47:5 says ...Gaza will shave her head in mourning !
How can this be denied by those who do not believe the Bible is relative for today??

Look at how ppl run to prove more of what the Bible says about man! The word of GOD is foolishness to the unbeliever, ... a fool says in his heart that there is no GOD...etc.
You should read more about yourselfs like...Isaiah 5:20...read it ,unless you don't want to be proven wrong!

There are none so blind as those who will not see. (no it's not biblical, but it is true) Notice that this quote says "will not see", it doesn't say "can not see". Most non-believers don't believe because they don't want to believe. They think if they become Christians, they will lose something, as if there is anything material of this world that they can take with them...or maybe they think they won't have anymore fun. Some have seen too many that call themselves Christians that act no better and some even worse that non-believers. So they think, "Why would I want any part of that?"
I think most, though, just have too big an ego to surrender their will to God, because if they did, deep down, they know that it would radically change every aspect of their lives.

2Timothy 4:3-4 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Sadly, many will finally come to realize the truth of God and His Word, but it will be too late.

Do you really think that this is the first time in history there has been conflict in Gaza? Do you really think that you could find a country in the world that is having conflict now that never had it previously?

What annoys me most is that fundamentalists take passages about past events and don't even read either a commentary on the book in question or a history book, and assume that all the predictions in the book are about the future.

Jeremiah 47:1 indicates that this refers to Pharaoh conquering Gaza around that time, when Egypt and Babylon were contesting each other's claim to the region.

In Zechariah 9, this is the passage that includes the mention of Zion's king coming on a donkey. So is this about Zechariah's time, or about Jesus, or about now? Or is it sufficiently vague that it can be applied to more than one thing?

I presume you were trying to make a point about the Bible being RELEVANT rather than relative today. Unless you first place the Biblical writings in their historical context, you will not hear their message on their own terms. You will only hear what you want to hear, and that you have fallen into that trap is pretty clear from the question you asked.

I read up a little on those verses, and you may be referring to something that some call, "The Law of Double Fulfillment" . It's a difficult one to communicate the meaning of, so I'll leave it alone.

While Gaza was invaded by the Egyptian Pharoah Neco as he encountered the Phillistines while advancing to defeat the Babylonians, it is somehow strange that Egypt is now playing the peacemaker. After all, they want to have summit at a resort on the Red Sea. I suppose that we'll find out what happens after the summit, but it doesn't look good for Hamas, thank God. They have isolated themselves and are again causing trouble ( how stupid can they be?) , with Israel. It's as if Hamas doesn't think that they can be hit by greater firepower and larger numbers, and better tactics.

We will see if those verses match up to what happened so many years ago!

You must be KIDDING me. Of course I can see the biblical myths being fulfilled on earth today. The wars, massacres, calamities and epidemic plagues- all dilligently predestined by the mecilless so called benovelent creator- God.

How about you about reading the whole bible( spend 15-30 minutes each day, and you'll be finished within a year) and really, begin from Exodus. I want you to understand the cruel, despotically -overpowering ,blood thirty being Yahweh is. I want you to read about what happened to the freed Israelites once Moses had been commanded by God to tell the Pharoah to liberate them. I want you carefully scrutinize this sonorous line-reiterated after almost every passage in the beginning of Exodus, "but I will harden Pharoah's heart, so that he will NOT let the people go" God ordered the Pharoah to let them go- so then why was he hardening the kings heart so that he will adamantly REFUSE to let them go? I would especially like for you to carefully read the book of Job, and to really get a more profound insight upon Yahweh's diabolical nature. Read upon what happens to Job, a noble God- fearing man from OZ who bore 10 children and cared for plenty of animals. Read and meticulously observe how God made a pact with Satan by unsuspectingly slaughtering all his children and animals- only to see if this respectable man would curse him once in return.

To really comprehend the genuinely sadistic, insidious character of God, read Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Judges, and Job. Those books are extremely compelling.

There has ALWAYS been a problem in Gaza. If that's your evidence, then we've been at the end of days for thousands of years now.

And you're now using the BIBLE as "proof" that people who don't believe in the Bible are "fools". Of COURSE the Bible is going to say that. The people who WROTE it want people to believe them, so they resort to insulting those who don't buy their story. You're using circular reasoning by saying that we're fools for not believing in the Bible, and you know that because the Bible says so! That quote is the mental equivalent of a four-year-old child who tells a lie, and then when people don't believe the lie, says "Well you're a poopie head!!!"

I dont know about the Zacharia but I can tell you, ive read jeremiah and you have taken this COMPLETELY OUT OF CONTEXT, which is typical of all 'prophesies' are like this. Jeremiah was specifically refering to the kingdom of Judeah being destroyed because of corruption of the masses, about 2800 years ago. Anyone with half a brain could see it coming- this was during the wave of invasions which destroyed every other mesopotamian nation as well. Jeremiah had absolutely nothing to say about the modern world. DONT TWIST YOUR SACRED TEXT INTO A LIE WITH MISREPRESENTATION

No, not all. I predict there will be hurricanes and earthquakes. There will also be wars. Especially where ever any of the three Abrahamic religions meet up. Predictions that come true are easy. Especially with the violent Abrahamic religions.

So ... Britney Spears is Gaza?

Maybe you could use the bible to make an actual prediction - you know, one with dates and names and places and events all laid out for us. Then maybe we'd listen. But remember, predictions are only useful before something happens. Not 200 years after.
