I had a dentist that did a terrible job on my teeth and ruined my bite. I went to a malofacial surgeon and another dentist who both told me the problems I was having were from the first dentists work. However, when it came to going to court neither wanted to get involved. I filed a complaint with the ADA mediation council and no one has even bothered to contact me.

A dentist refrains from criticizing another dentist's work because we don't know all of the reasoning or circumstances behind another dentist's choice to do things a certain way-- Only those dentists who are on a state dental board of examiners have the right to criticize another dentist after fully reviewing all the facts of the case, and mete out disciplinary action, such as revoking a license to practice.

If you are sure you are a victim of shoddy dental work, the first thing you should do is get a copy of all of your dental records and x-rays. That way, you can ask your dental insurance carrier or the state dental board to review your case and see if it was indeed shoddy dental work or insurance fraud, and if it is, you have a cause to file a malpractice lawsuit.
