True.
What you eat is not as important as how much of it you consume because whatever you eat, good or bad, too much of it will still be too much of it.

You could get fat on orange juice if you drink it all day long because it's a hot summer and the country you're in has no air conditioning....

Then you could have ice-cream, but just a little so it would not really matter as long as you do not consume too much of it.

Not exactly.

If one eats only ice cream, but in small amounts It definitely would be untrue.

A more true saying would be. You are what you eat. If you eat only meat and potato you will be deficient in vitamins, minerals, enzymes and amino acids.

You would not be receiving the building blocks for all of your tissue types. We are omnivores and eat plants and animals. Vegetarians have to be careful to get a good balance and intake all of the amino acids. Otherwise they get deficiency conditions.

In the case of weight gain, "How much there is of you depends mostly on how much there was on your plate. If there were more calories on the plate than you burned it would be put into fatty storage.

Yes and no. You gain weight by consuming more calories than you burn. So in that regard the answer is yes. But if you always consume foods with empty calories, say donuts, then you are not getting the nutritional value you need to remain healthy So from that perspective then the answer is no.

Yes and no.

Yes, because eating in moderation is a lot better than eating a ton of something. A lot of the time, we just want to taste that food that we're craving. For example, I'm craving cheesecake. Rather than eating a whole slice, though, I should eat just a couple of bites because it would be better.

No, because even if you only eat a little bit of something unhealthy, it's still unhealthy.

In my opinion, Yes.

If you're trying to loose weight, but eat everything on the salad bar and go back for seconds. You're not losing any weight, just eating 8 pounds of lettuce & all the other toppings.

Eat a small, normal dinner. Treat yourself to ONE or two cookies, not the whole bag of oreos.

Let's put it this way. You are what you eat...

Yes you can loose weight by limiting your caloric intake but is it healthier to get cookies and keep them at 800 calories, or veggies and protein at 800 calories. That should be a no brainer!
