I've been trying to eat healthy, but it's just getting so hard! What I eat, doesn't keep me full, and what I do eat doesn't taste as good as the tempting doughnut on the counter. I need some filling, healthy and tasty recipes! Tips on eating healthy, and being healthy in general are welcome aswell!

Eating health should not be boring or tasteless.
My advise to you is that you get some nice recipe books or search online for free healthy recipes and try them. Of course you are going to find some that doesn't please your taste buds, but you will find others that will.

By the way, you need to give sometimes for your taste buds to detoxify itself after so many years eating junk food and foods that are high in artificial flavors, that now when you eat a little simpler than your taste buds finds them tasteless. This is normal but will disappear in a while.
In the mean time, like I said, try new recipes and see what works for you.

And watch that you are not starving yourself, by eating just a bowl of cereal for breakfast, a salad with chicken for lunch, and fruit salad for dinner. Eating like this might be OK for one or two days, but try not to fall into this trap. I have met lots of people that thinks that eating healthy means eating the same salad every day.

So inform yourself before and while you are transitioning to healthy foods. The best decisions we make in life, are based on informed decisions.

Good luck to you! :)

Healthy eating tips:

1) A good breakfast can keep you lively and energetic. Breakfast high in fiber and carbohydrates but low in fat gets your metabolism moving. So, never skip your breakfast!
2) Drink water! Water is definitely the elixir of life and 10 glasses of water every day can keep you at the best health.
3) Turn yourself into a fruit lover! Put some cut-up or sliced fruits on the table to help you through those starving moments just before dinner is ready.

get yourself some cookbooks. learning to cook health meals is not very hard but like anything else there is a learning curve. basic soups and stews are a great and easy way to learn to cook especially if you have access to slow cooker/crock pot
