I know exactly how you feel. I felt this way just last week. I've also been exercising more, hitting the gym with cardio, and instead of losing weight I gained two pounds! I think the reason is that sometimes muscles weigh more than fat and also if you're near your period it could be the extra bloat/water weight. Keep working at it. Just remember that losing weight takes time and effort. There's no magic pill out there that will make you shed pounds without hurting your health. A lot of them don't even work and mess up your body. So I say keep up the good work. Hit the gym at least 3 times a week....more if you can. Do cardio for at least 30 minutes a day. Do some light weight training, muscles burn calories and help you lose weight faster and even burns more calories when you are sleeping. So I've been lifting light weights. I think it helps, big time! Keep your head up, just think of how great it would be to wear the clothes that you've been wanting to wear. That will help keep you motivated and remember muscles weigh more than fat, so if you can see a difference and the scale tells you a bit more, realize that you are improving your body and in time you can acheive a slimmer body! Good luck!

Stop stressing! This affects your metabolism. If you are already eating healthy and exercising, then you just need to wait. Sometimes it takes a while. Eat a little less of everything except fruit/veggies, exercise a little more than you are doing, and be patient. If still nothing in six months, then accept that you are the size that you are. Size 12 is hardly obese. Accept it! Other people may be thinner than you but, trust me, they have issues that you don't. I have a friend who used to be a size 14 and she stressed over it constantly. Now she has cancer and is a size 6 and I'm sure she'd give anything to be a size 14 again and cancer free. So, worry about more important things (how to spell might be a good place to start).

OK - first things first...keep yourself positive. You have an attainable goal here - remember that! You may have gained 2 pounds, but remember that working out builds muscle - AND MUSCLE WEIGHS MORE THAN FAT!
Your best bet to lose 20 pounds by the end of the summer...and keep it real...is to exercise intensely for 75-90 minutes a day. You'll lose about 2 to 2.5 pounds a week this way. The sizes will DROP and the inches will diminish! Follow the guidelines for calorie intake for your height/weight at the link below so your metabolism will keep it off too!
Good LUCK!

I have the perfect diet for you that my Dr. put me on a year ago. I wanted to loose my thunder thighs and what he told me to do was rather easy to deal with. All you have to do is eat a bowl of oatmeal in the morning and don't eat anything else throughout the day, just drink water or you can drink tea and coffee if you really have to, or any diet drink or soda. Trust me, this works! You will loose 10 lbs. in the first week. The second week still eat your oatmeal and in the afternoon you can eat like some carrots and stringed beans and dont forget the water which is very important. 8-8 oz glasses per day. In those two weeks you will have shed 20lbs. It works!

Hey girl ! Don't loose hope anyone who sets their mind to something can do it ! Trade your scale for a measuring tape because muscle weighs more than fat. Start by cutting out absolutely anything that has sugar (white sugar i mean, brown sugar & honey is ok) especially breads, pasta, rice, ect. Switch those for long grain rice, brown breads and spinache pastas. Eat six small meals a day - portion is key whatever fits on a regular size plate and no more - 2 meals a day should have one serving of protein (meat, nuts, tofu, ect.) than is about what fits in the palm of your hand. You can have grain produts in all 6 meals but stick to the same idea one serving should be about ¼ your plate and again no sugery carbs they are bad. Vegetables and fruit are great all day long except for avacados. For dairy products stick to only 2 servings a day 1% milk is best and avoid fruity yogurts since they tend to be high in sugars. Drink plenty of water and only 100% juice. Don't bother counting calories... we need calories to live ! Also try drinking green teas they boost metabolism naturally and so does fiber so maybe take a fiber supplement too.Get about 30 mins of exercise per day even if it is just walking, and try harder exercises like weight lifting or cardios evry 3 days or so. I could blabber on all day about diets and health but that is a definete start. Look up Canada's food guide too it tells you all about portion/serving sizes. Good luck girl ! You can do it ! Oh yeah and avoid low fat or diet foods and drink they tend to make women retain water which makes your tummy look bloated...

whatever you do do not starve yourself. you will become fatter then you were before after you start eating ANYTHING>>i know lots of people who tred that before and did not succeed..
1. dont eat anything with a lot of trans fat or saturated fat..NEVER
2. eat about 1500 calories a day(NEVER EAT WHEN YOU ARE NOT HUNGRY)
3. before every meal (that shouldnt be really big but make sure you have 4-6 healthy small meals a day) drink apple cider viengar with water and honey...this is how to do it. get a waterbottle and put in 1-2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar in it (only the organic kind) and add a little bit of honey to it not to tase the apple cider vinegar as much. my mom lost alot of wait by doing that. and plus if helps your hair too.
4. dont eat fried foods or fast foods under any circumstances!
5. dont work out like crazy bc then you might have huge muscles since you might not be skinny.
6. drink prune juice or eat prunes. it helps you digest your food faster..
i might be only 15 but i weigh 95 pounds and how i keep it at that is by exersing daily and eating no more than 1500 calories a day or sometimes i do but NEVER more than 2000.. bc that would mean i'm eatnig whe i'm not hungry.

The key to lose weight and keep it, is you need to detoxify your body first. When you have too much toxins, you can not go to your body to get the energy, and all your energy only came from the food you eat. That is why you exercise and feel hungry all the time and can not lose weight. There are many things you can do to lose weight, like eat every three hours (avoid big meal), drink green tea, exercises 30 minutes daily. And most importantly go get massages for several months. If you can found somebody can do the Detoxification massage in your area, you should be able to lose 20 to 30 lbs in several months and keep it. andyhooang@yahoo.com. www.energymassagecenter.com. Drop in if you came to Charlotte, NC. USA

The Weight Gain can be from two things
1. your not eating healthy, which you express that you are.
so it must be
2. Muscle Mass. Muscle weighs more than fat. And you say you have been going to the gym, which explains it.
I use the elliptical machine a lot at the gym, ands a nice easy way to burn calories. By August you could lose a good amount of weight if you commit to it.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

kaycee,
i'm in the same boat as you, i wear 11's and i feel fat too. its hard to loose weight, i don't think you need to focus on the poundage that you want to lose i think you should focus on what you want to look like.
whatever loser put stop eating needs to be more realistic.
i try to focus on portion controls.
i borrowed this book from my friend who lost a lot of weight from it, its called "the diet for teenagers only" really is amazing it has recipes and there is this one for pomegranate green tea which burns calories!
remember your beautiful
always remember that!
be happy and find an exercising buddy to help motivate you, even if you only want to go for a one mile walk. just get out there and move.
