I have man-boobs and I want the insurance company to pay for the surgical coverage. How do I do this?

What are some specific things I should put in the letter to the insurance company other than;

- feelings of depression, anxiety
- slight discomfort
- Isolation from sports, etc

HELP ME ANYONE!!!

those sound like good reasons to me...you are obviously having psychological problems due to this sort of thing, i know that there are times when this is reason enough to be covered, then again it also depends on your insurance company.

good luck

You need at least one doctor (preferably your PCP - the one you see most often) to provide documentation of medical necessity. From there, the insurance company decides whether or not they want to pay for it. If it's not a covered benefit, you can't force them.

I think you've put this on the wrong section, it should be in the medical/insurance one.

well. maybe you can ask your doctor and the insurance company you are with whether it will pay for it.

usually i'll say unless your man boobs affect your health, they will not cover things for aesthetic purposes.

unless you are not on a health insurance.

insurance normally dont pay for cosmetic surgery like this. if you really want this done then either start workin out or save the money up yourself.
