lol I know where you are coming from. When i was 13 i was 6'1" and about 210 lbs. The best thing is to not get down on yourself. I am now 6'5'' and 260 but i have exchanged most of the fat for muscle. (As the old saying goes muscle weighs more than fat)

If you truly want to lose it diet right and eat a lot of greens and white meats. When eating red meat, make sure you are eating 90%+ lean meat. This by nature has less fat in it. Also get on a workout plan that you can accomplish. Most kids give up on a workout schedule after a short amount of time because they set unrealistic goals.

Either way you go there are upsides to being big and to losing the weight. So i am still huge myself but my height and bulky nature has actually made me a very good athlete. So good luck and have fun with it just dont let peer pressure get to ya

Eat Very Healthy Fruits, Veggies, & Food in general. Take a walk around the block as soon as you get up. Start exercising. Join a gym, you can do anything really. Just don't take those stupid medications that say oh lose 30 lbs in just a week! Yeah... Thats bullshit. But Really, Eat Really Healthy Foods. Don't eat Big Portions. Eat a Healthy Breakfest every morning, healthy lunch & Dinner. You will be fine. Take a nice little walk once and a while it doesn't even have to be a mile, just do it everyday and you will see. Sit Ups as well. But 140 lbs, really... isn't that big. You are perfect hun. Best of luck sweetheart! Xoxo'

Honey, that does not make you huge. You are a tall kid, and despite what some magazines say, there are no perfect weight for everyone. You could have alot of muscle, and weigh alot. Muscle is heavier than fat. If you are truly overweight, the best thing to do is get active. Its hard now that its summer vacation, but get outside, walk a little. Don't drink soda or eat junk fook. Watch tv programs that get you involved, like fit shows. Whatever you do, don't NOT eat, don't try those diet pills and don't depress yourself over it. As you get older, your body will change and you will lose baby fat. Just start a healtier lifestyle now. Good Luck.

Are you Five feet five inches or Six feet? You cant be both?

If you think you're going to end up at six feet cos you're in a growth spurt and have other relatives that tall you have nothing to worry about!

At 13 you're stilll growing!

Just stay off the junk food walk or run regularly and stay away from the scales and go read a book instead!

And remember many of those skinny models you see have either been air brushed or probably have brain damage from malnutrition and willnt make it into college or end up as trophy wives?

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min (ideally 45min because the first 20-30min body burns carbs and only then starts burning fat), light weight training (more muscle=faster metabolism)
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

For you height you are exactly the weight, just ask your doctor.
I am guessing you are a size 6-8 at that weight-that is definitly NOT huge. You do however seem to have a skewered perception of yourself, which can lead to an eating disorder. I would suggest talking to your mom or your doctor.

well i'm almost 15 & 106 pounds. i keep the weight off by eating healthy, exercising & not over eating. but really, who cares how much you weigh? you'll probably grow into your body. this is exactly what our society is teaching us. omg so what if you weigh a little more. we don't all have to be like nicole richie. don't worry about how much you weigh [but don't let it get to the point where you are so obese that you can't do normal activities.] don't let society & the old men working for victoria's secret & publishing seventeen tell you who to be. i hope this helps. best of luck.

Do you drink soft drinks? If so, cut them out and drink water. Have small healthy snacks throughout the day and start exercising with a friend. And don't get hung up on your size, but rather how healthy you are.
