No, because juice has a lot of sugar and calories. Cutting out soda and drinking water instead will help you lose weight, though.

Cutting out soda will help you lose weight. Drinking fruit juice instead will keep you fat. Fruit juice is SUGAR. You are better off drinking water and eating fruit. If you can't have a piece of fruit with a meal, substituting an 8 oz glass of fruit juice is acceptable, but you don't want to over do it on juice. Portion control is where it is at.

cutting soda out will always help you lose weight. diet soda every once in awhile is ok though. however i don't necessarily recommend replacing soda with juice seeing as juices are fairly high in added sugar and can be as high as some sodas. you really have to do good research on juice brands to find one that will be relatively low in sugar and high in real fruit. look at the ingredient listings of all your juices of choice don't just go by the front label which is designed by marketing people who only want your money and don't care about your health. i've cut all juice and soda from my nutrition plan and i only ever drink water, plain tea or skim milk.

try cutting out soda and replacing it with water. and try eating uncooked fresh fruits instead of having fruit juice. most fruit juice has just as much sugar as soda but no bubbles.
also the sugar needs water to be broken down in your body so you actually feel thirsty even after you've had a glass of something sugared so you'll end up taking in more calories.

try drinking 8 glasses of water a day (8oz each)

alot of times when people are a little hungry they could actually be thirsty some people have difficulties with differentiating thirst from hunger.

Cutting out soda is definitely a way to lose weight, but be careful if you replace it with fruit juice. Some juices are PACKED with sugar and calories. REad the nutritional information before you buy juice. Good juices to buy are apple, cranberry, pom and grapefruit. Also, green tea is great when trying to lose weight. It contains agents which speed up your metabolism.

Cut the soda, even diet soda increases your appetite. But drink water instead. A reduced calorie diet is the only thing that works and juice is high in calories or has artificial sweeteners. Eat as natural a diet as possible.

Cutting out sodas is best. Sodas are full of sugar (bad sugar) . But fruit juice also has sugar.
If you can replace both with water and you eat right besides that (veggies, fruits right carbs) than you will loose weight.

The fruit juice will give you some nutrients, but there's a lot of sugar there too. Diet soda has zero calories along with zero nutrition. Go to the water and increase your exercise.

it might but I wouldn't count on it to have a drastic effect especially if the intake of simple sugars is relatively the same. for the most part the body composition or body fat % is a direct indicator of the bodies current ability to metabolize nutrients. if the body fat % is higher than average or greater than simple sugars from all sources healthy or not should be limited.

you would do much better dropping the soda and just drinking water, unsweetened teas, etc. technically anything with calories is "food" to the body so every time you consume a beverage with simple sugars the body treats is the same as a whole food item. blood sugar increases and serum insulin levels also increase. if serum insulin is constantly elevated throughout the day insulin sensitivity will remain low and fat loss will be slow at best.

if the focus of the diet is fat loss the the vast majority of the carbohydrates consumed should be low GI high fiber carbs like oats, lentils, beans, etc.

i've heard on the news that juice can have as much sugar & calories as soda. There are a lot of sugar free juices that are pretty good. Experiment with 'em. Crystal light is pretty good.
