A one horse town means there are a lot of ticked off people walking around. There are probably a lot of those considering the price of gas these days. A country mile means you already passed too many corn fields.....sit down drink a cold one and take a load off. Hope this clears it up for ya :)

It means a very small town where everything is on main street.
And country mile is longer then a regular mile.
