I don't know but I think I'd call a local hospital's nurse-line and ask what they think. It could be unrelated but maybe you're allergic to iodine, or are having a reaction to something common to blood doners.

Unless you live in the Mid-West and you gave blood outdoors, and got chiggers you better call the doc. One sided......with great stress if you've had chicken pox it could be shingles if they start hurting.
