I am reading reports of "banding" on Sharp Aquos LCD TVs. I want to know if any of you noticed it on your TV.

Many people have found "banding" on Sharp Aquos TVs. It has been a topic of discussion on the AVS forum for some time, but it has died down. Apparently some sets are ok, but many are not. If you can look at the TV before it is delivered, you can check for banding by looking at picture with large uniform areas of a light blue color. If you can see it, ask for another set. If you can get a set without banding, reports are that this set has the best HD picture around.

Don't try to read all, but scan through some of the later comments to see what some people have found.

Sure I do....and Sure I have....

It can occur on practically any brand out there...And I have seen it.

Your best bet is to go DLP if you want to avoid LCD banding. That, or sit at the TV store for hours going thru their selection of LCDs, opening each box and telling the saleman to "bring another one out here"

You'll be REAL popular....
