i have five kittens, they are 3 weeks and four days old. at what weight should they be and how soon can they leave there mom?

Some believe that 6-8 weeks is a good time to leave, others will wait until 8-12 weeks.

Not sure what weight they should be. Provided the mom is feeding them without problems, they should gain just fine on their own. They should be 6-8 weeks old when they leave their mother. You can start softened kitten chow in another week or two, and then by the time they are ready to leave, they should be mostly weaned.

They should weigh about 12-14 ounces. Kittens almost always weigh 1 lb per month for the first 5 months.

i just got new kittens @ 9 weeks old I dont think it has to do with the weight to have them be able to leave there mother, but i do know that they have to be 7 weeks old

they need to be 8-12 weeks old

Most definitely 8 weeks or longer and I agree that weaning them before they leave is important.
