I was just curious to know if while on active duty, on base for your current assignment in the U.S., can you have visitors stay overnight?

If you live in base housing (married) you can have guests.

If you live in the enlisted barracks (single) you can not. If you try to do it in secret, someone will see it.

If you live in the Bachelor's Officers Quarters, you have enough privacy that you can have a guest over night and probably no one will find out.

You can't have members of the opposite sex stay overnight if you live in the dorms. If you are married and live in base housing you can have someone stay with you up to 30 days a year (that's what housing says anyway). If you are staying in Temporary quarters I'm pretty sure you can have someone over. If you live off-base, it doesn't matter what you do as long as it's legal :0)

Yes you can.... If you live in the barraks, you aren't "supposed" to have oppisitte sex visitors overnight, but.... well no one really cares. If you live in housing you can have anyone stay the night. To get them on base they must have some type of valid ID, and they are supposed to stay with you at all times.

Officially no, atleast not in the barracks.

Most bases have guest houses ( think hotel ) that your parents can stay in, if they visit you.

But un officially, people spend the night in the Barracks all the time.

Ive seen people have guest for over a week in the barracks.

No one cares.

The brass might do something if they found out, but who is gonna tell them?

not if you are single and living in the Barracks. if you are married and live in base housing, most regs allow for guests for up to 30 days without problem.

In the BOQ/BEQs, yes--> this is like temporary housing, like a hotel. In the dorms, no. In base/post housing, yes--> this is like a privately owned home.
