I cant figure out how to spell it. Is it mema, meema, or meemaw???? Please help, i'm making a scrap book.

That's what my little 2 yr-old grandson calls me!! However it is spelled, it comes out "LOVE"! When I come to their door, there are screams of "Meema! Mema! Meemaw!" It all sounds the same to me! Grandchildren are a Gift of God to Grandparents!!

It is Mema. When you have a vowel then a consonant , the next vowel makes the first say the long vowel sound. If you have two successive consonants then you have a short vowel sound for the first vowel. The w is redundant as in Memaw. So to is Meema. Redundant I mean. Those spellings are meant to be cute not inaccurate but cutesy. Mima would be pronounced my ma. Mema.
