CTRs do exactly what their name suggest.. they collect SIGINT data. you won't really find any in depth information at all, since it is Secret Squirrel stuff and requires a Clearance. the about.com link above, while not an official source, is fairly accurate.

They have top secret clearances and operate code breaking and code making machines/ computers.
